Can I take music lessons online?
Yes! All of our instructors are available for online lessons on a variety of platforms.
Can I take lessons more than once a week?
Yes, absolutely! We will rather recommend to do so for better and faster results!
Can I use an electric keyboard for piano lessons?
It would ideal if the instrument had “weighted keys”, however, a non-weighted keyboard will be ok.
If I do not have an instrument, what should I do?
iPlayMusic School will be happy to guide you through renting or purchasing of an instrument that best fits you!
What is a good age to start music lessons?
Any age! For younger children, it depends on the instrument. Strings and piano can start as early as 3 – 4 years old. We recommend wind instruments to start no earlier than 8.
What styles of music can I study?
You can study any style of music! Many of our teachers are proficient in several styles for their instrument.
I don't live in Chicago, can I still take lessons from you?
Yes! All of our instructors are available for online lessons on a variety of platforms.
Is playing in a recital mandatory?
No, however, it is highly recommended to develop confidence and stage presence. We know performing is scary but it is one of the most rewarding parts of studying a musical instrument!
